Overview:

The 20TA06 Campaign is a recall for certain 2020 Highlanders.

The subject vehicles are equipped with a feature that stops and restarts the engine.v

Under certain driving patterns and vehicle conditions, this feature may not operate correctly resulting in a vehicle stall.

What Happens:

The technician will update the vehicle’s computer software.

What to do:

Run the customer’s VIN in TIS to confirm the campaign.

There is no need to order any parts.

Protocol/Guest Experience:

Due to the varying nature of a software update, it is best for the guest to drop the vehicle for the day.

Some updates can be performed in as little as two hours, others can take most of the day to complete the update.

Communicating this to the guest is extremely important to providing a positive experience.
