E02 Recall Campaign Information

Overview:

The E02 Campaign regards the leaf springs of certain 2005-2011 model year Tacoma Pre-Runner and 4x4 vehicles. The leaf spring can crack and corrode resulting in various issues in the undercarriage of the vehicle. This includes a possible puncture of the fuel tank that could result in fire.

What Happens:

The technician will inspect the Leaf Springs, their configuration, and the surrounding area for corrosion or damage. If found defective, they will realign or replace the leaf springs and any other components that may have been affected.

What to do:

Run the customer’s VIN in TIS to confirm the campaign.

Protocol:

Schedule the next available appointment for the customer. This remedy takes half of a day, so anything scheduled after 2pm we should inform the customer to expect the vehicle to be completed the following day

Half of a day, if additional parts are needed to complete the recall, the advisor will communicate this with the customer.
