Lead Types

Internet- This customer submitted a form online that was directly imported into VinSolutions. You should never have to add this type of lead.

Walk-in- This customer came into the dealership with no prior contact to the dealership within the last 30 days. Choosing this lead type will automatically start a showroom visit.

Phone- This customer called into the dealership.

Service- This is a lead for the service department.

Referral- The customer was referred to you by another customer and contacted you personally. This is without the use of the dealership phones or communication system. It is not a referral if the customer called the main phone line to reach you, that would be considered a phone lead.

Previous Customer- The customer contacted you privately after conducting prior business with you.This is without the use of the dealership phones or communication system. It is not a referral if the customer called the main phone line to reach you, that would be considered a phone lead.

Choosing a Lead Source

Simply ask your customer how they found us during the course of the customer interviewing process. Then match the customer back to the closest identifying lead source.

For instance, if the customer calls in and says they saw a vehicle on our site. You would choose the Website lead source and the phone lead type.
